Davenport stepped up in clutch situations this game offensively, more specifically Larkin-Guilfoyle. On three separate occasions he stepped up to the plate and had runners in scoring position, he took advantage and hit a single all three times. In the second inning Page got things started with a monster shot to right center that hit the scoreboard to score two runs. Heading into the bottom of the fifth inning Davenport was down 5-3 and got two much needed runs by Hoge and Figueroa to tie the game. The pitching for the Panthers was solid down the stretch, not allowing any runs during the last four innings.
