HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pride of Purdue Northwest took home field advantage into effect at the beginning of the game when they scored a goal in the eighth minute to take a 1-0 lead. After multiple scoring opportunities, corner kicks and shots on goal, Lacey Chanady scored the first goal for DU. Chanady scored in the 30th minute on an un-assisted effort. Just over a minute later Sabrina Stone got in on the action, scoring the game winning goal for the Panthers and was assisted by Roheema Bennett. Davenport went into half time with a 2-1 lead.

The Panthers came out in the second half wanting to prove that they could score goals and did just that. Freshman Ashlyn Skidmore scored the Panthers third goal of the day in the 50th minute and was assisted by Cassandra Bosworth. Bennett got in the scoring column herself in the 78th minute and was assisted by freshman Katlyn Varney. With the game winding down Allison Luurtsema increased the Panthers lead with a goal assisted by Chanady in the 86th minute.
