BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers are prepping for one of the most important matches in program history. Davenport advanced to the GLIAC Championship match against Ferris State after they defeated Michigan Tech 3-2 last night. This is the first time that Davenport is competing for a GLIAC Tournament title in volleyball. The match is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. in Big Rapids at the Ewigleben Sports Arena. The Bulldogs of Ferris State are the number one seed in the tournament and the number six ranked team in the entire country. The only match between the two teams this year needed five sets to determine a winner and the Panthers had Ferris State on their heels. The Bulldogs won the fifth set by only two points, 15-13. Davenport is looking for their first program win over Ferris State and there is no better time to do it!
