KENTWOOD, Mich. - The Davenport women's swimming and diving team had their first home competition on Saturday and won the tri-meet against Kalamazoo College and Lincoln College. The Panthers beat the Hornets (122-110) and Lynx (137-58) to even their season record at 3-3.
The 200-yard medley relay was a win for the Panthers with a time of 1:50.31 and consisted of
Lauren Bockheim, Allie Steffin,
Dominyka Rapsyte and
Jenna Schrotenboer.
Megan Fraula was victorious in the 1,000-yard freestyle in dominant fashion with a time of 11:08.79 which was 38 seconds better than second place.
Riley Faulkner won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.05 over Rapsyte who was second at 2:01.19. Schrotenboer continued the success for the Panthers with a 50-yard freestyle time of 25.23 to win the event.
Victoria Postmus won the 400-yard IM in a time of 4:41.35. Rapsyte won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:01.61.Â
Bockheim won the 100-yard backstroke at 1:00.75. Steffin won the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:07.94. The final event was a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay for Schrotenboer, Postmus, Fraula and Faulkner.
