INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced Wednesday (Feb. 25) the qualifiers for the 2026 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The championships will be held March 10-14 in Evansville, Indiana.
Davenport has a strong representation this year with a total of 10 student-athletes making the trip. There will be four men and six women competing for the Panthers on the sport's biggest stage.
Micah Sholl is returning to the nationals where he placed 17th in the 100 breaststroke (53.94) a year ago. He is looking to improve in the same event this time around after posting an entry time of 53.78 at the GLIAC Championships, which was the 11th-best mark in Division II. DU has a trio of divers that will be in the qualification meet.
Matthew Gauck,
Robert Russo, and
Parker Schut will be on the board looking to cement themselves in school history. Gauck is hoping to become a two-time All-American after finishing seventh in the three-meter, 11-dives last year. He placed sixth in the three-meter diving at the GLIAC Championships this year. Russo was able to finish sixth in the one-meter diving at the GLIAC Championships with 438.20 points. Schut claimed second place in the one-meter diving (456.10) at the GLIAC Championships and was also fifth in the three-meter diving (472.75).
Zofia Janaszek-Seydlitz will be competing at the nationals in her first season at Davenport. She qualified with the 16th-best time in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.19) during the prelims at the GLIAC Championships. Zofia will also compete in the 200 breaststroke after a time of 2:15.97 qualified her 12th at the GLIAC Championships.
Nadia Jastrzabek will be swimming in the 100 freestyle after a time of 50.44 was good for 18th in Division II coming in the prelims at the GLIAC Championships. She qualified in three events for the NCAA Division II Championship last year and finished 19th in the 50 freestyle (23.30), 27th in the 100 freestyle (50.82), and 34th in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.61).
Alicja Pinkowicz will be scheduled to compete in the 200 backstroke after a time of 2:00.76 at the Don Kimble Invitational in November, which was 18th in Division II. She is making her third trip to nationals and placed 19th in the 100 butterfly (55.41) and 24th in the 200 backstroke (2:02.13) last season.
Pinkowicz, Janaszek-Seydlitz, and Jastrzabek will also compete in relays and will be joined by
Asyia Shank,
Claire DeKievit, and
Mikayla Reimink. The 200 medley relay posted a time of 1:42.10 and won the event at the GLIAC Championships and the 400 medley relay clocked in with a 3:43.77 to finish second at the conference meet.
