KENOSHA, Wis. - The women's basketball team dropped a 69-64 road game in the GLIAC to Parkside on Saturday in their first trip to Kenosha. Junior
Jenna Falkenberg notched her third straight double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes before fouling out.
Toni Grace scored 13 points going 10-of-16 at the free throw line.
Amanda Merz chipped in 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes.
Carolina Rahkonen led all scorers with 22 points for the Rangers. She went 7-of-12 from the floor and 7-of-7 at the foul line. Davenport led 12-10 after one quarter and increased their lead to 37-30 at halftime. The Rangers used a 10-0 run early in the third quarter to tie the game at 40 with 7:35 left in the third quarter. DU regained a six-point lead but once again it was Parkside with a run to tie the game at 48. The Rangers went on a 6-0 run to take a 54-48 with 3:14 left in the quarter and led until the 5:58 mark of the fourth quarter when DU tied it 57-57.
Merz tied the game again at 64 with 3:27 left to play but the Panthers could not score for the rest of the game missing their final seven shots. Rahkonen made a pair of free throws with 2:55 to go for the winning points. Rahkonen then hit a basket with 1:43 left for a four-point lead and
Blair Arthur split at the foul line with 37 seconds to go to end the scoring.
