HOW IT HAPPENED
The opening 15 minutes of the game was an even battle between the two teams, Ashland recorded a shot that went high and Ashlyn Skidmore recorded a shot on goal during the 15th minute. The Eagles got on the board in the 19th minute from a header off a free kick. Davenport held tight up until the final minute of the half. Ashland stole the ball from our keeper and score in the empty night to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

The story of the second half was about execution. Davenport recorded more shots on goal in the half than Ashland did. The Panthers had five shots on goal, two from Skidmore, two from Roheema Bennett and one from Madeleine Zayan. On the other side, the Eagles only recorded three shots on goal, but the difference was they scored on all three shots.
