UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Panthers returned to Saginaw Valley State for their fourth meet of the indoor season. Davenport faced some tough competition in the meet, but held their own.
Women
- In the 60 meter dash, Chieme Udaku was the quickest for DU. She finished in 8.08 seconds. In addition, Udaku snagged first place in the triple jump with a mark of 11.33 meters!
- Paige Gould finished 13th in the 400 meter dash, clocking a time of 1:01.87.
- Tiler Tyler took 10th in the 800 meter run, finishing in 2:28.57.
- In the mile Kelli Weighmink cut off five seconds from her time last week. She finished in 5:36.79.
- Alexandra Eby finished 10th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.38 seconds.
- The 4 x 400 relay team took fifth with a time of 4:13.72, as Olivia Sandborn, Joelle Humpula, Aniya Lowery, and Kennedy Miedema contributed to that finish.
- Nadia Bouwhuis cleared 1.43 meters in the high jump, taking 12th place.
- In the pole vault Betsy Lovett and Eby tied for second place, both clearing 3.49 meters.
- Kelsey Graham notched eighth place with a jump of 5.12 meters in the long jump.
- In the shot pot, Lisa Wangler recorded a mark of 10.32 meters, good for 12 place.
- Jenna Schumaker threw 16.09 meters in the weight throw, finishing third.
Men
- In the 60 meter dash finals, Brett Schenck ran 7.11 seconds and took seventh.
- Colin Grady finished the 200 meter dash in 22.65 seconds, taking 11th place.
- In the mile run, Shem Haas recorded a time of 4:26.66, finishing in the top 10.
- The 3,000 meter run saw Adam Maxwell take sixth with his time of 8:52.65.
- Drake Boomer leaped 6.28 meters in the long jump, taking 11th place.
- In the triple jump Obi Iwuagwu had a solid showing, jumping 13.29 meters and finishing in third.
- William Jones IV threw 13.86 meters in the shot put, finishing eighth.
- In the weight throw Davenport finished fifth, sixth, and seventh. Brandon MacGregor recorded a mark of 16.68 meters to take fifth, Eric Toledo hit a mark of 16.28 meters to take sixth, and Claude Ockert hit 16 meters on the dot for seventh.
The Panthers will have a change in scenery for their next meet. Davenport travels to Allendale to compete in the Grand Valley State University Open on Friday, January 25.
