ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Davenport track and field programs enjoyed a solid showing and delivered a thrilling couple of days at the 2025 GLIAC Outdoor Championships hosted by Grand Valley State. The men's team earned 110.66 points and finished fourth, while the women's team scored 56.5 points and finished in sixth place.

PODIUM FINISHES

• Julia Tuuri was named the Women's Track Athlete and High Point Athlete of the Meet. She won the 100 meters (11.86) and broke her own school record at 11.69 seconds in the prelims, while also hitting the NCAA provisional mark. Tuuri also won the 200 meters (24.38) and broke her own school record at 24.25 during the prelims.
• Ella Baryo finished second in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:38.63) and broke her own school record, while hitting the NCAA provisional mark.
• The 4x400 women's relay consisting of Erin Boettcher, Tuuri, Lacy Hess, and Soleil Moore placed third in the event with a time of 3:50.10. They broke their own school record by 10 one-hundredths of a second.
• Malcolm Earvin placed third in the 100 meters (10.62) and set a new PR of 10.45 during the prelims, which hit the NCAA provisional mark. Earvin also was able to finish second in the 200 meters (21.27) to set a new PR.
• The men's 4x100 relay took third consisting of Ethan Scholten, Earvin, Marcus Nystrom, and Ibrahim Fall. The guys ran 41.42 in the event.
• Nick Ruvalcaba and Bryce Albrecht placed second in the pole vault as they cleared 15' 7.5".
• Scholten finished third in the long jump (23' 7.5") and set a new PR.
• Brayden Green won the triple jump with a distance of 47' 6.5".
• James Horn was able to finish third in the shot put with a throw of 52' 11" to set a new PR.
• Mark Palmeter finished third in the decathlon with 5,911 points.
