CALEDONIA, Mich. - The Davenport men's soccer team saw the season series even up with Northwood after the Timberwolves won 3-0 on Friday afternoon at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex. The Panthers (5-6, 5-3) are now in a tie with Northwood for third place in the GLIAC standings.
Davenport finished the match with 19 shots and 10 shots on goal.
Daire O'Riordan led the team with six shots including four on goal. NU's goalkeeper Corbin Cecchini stood on his head most of the game and finished with nine saves.Â
Jack Doyle and had a goal and assist for Northwood. He scored in the 11th minute on a one-timer from 13 yards. Luke Neves had the first of his two assists on the goal with a pass from far left wing into the middle of the box.
Ben Campbell scored the next two goals for the Timberwolves. He made it 2-0 in the 54th minute as Doyle assisted. Doyle delivered a long pass to a streaking Campbell who raced toward the goal and scored his second of the season from 15 yards. He then scored in the 61st minute. Neves played a free kick toward the top of the box and Campbell headed it past DU keeper

The Panthers are back in action on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. against second-place Saginaw Valley State (8-3-1, 6-2). Davenport won the first matchup this year by a 4-0 score in University Center.
