Davenport Rolls Past Purdue Northwest in Straight Sets

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team churned out its best offensive performance of the season on Friday night as it hit .363 and rolled past Purdue Northwest in straight sets. The Panthers' two best hitting clips of 2019 have both come against the Pride as they hit .329 on the road back in early October.

HIGHLIGHTS
- As illustrated above by Davenport's hitting percentage on the night (.363), the Panthers couldn't be stopped as they hit .344, .409 and .351 in the first, second and third sets, respectively.

- Defensively, Davenport held Purdue Northwest to a hitting percentage of just -.019, the first opponent for the Panthers to hit in the red all season.

- In the team head-to-head, Davenport's advantages included 42-22 in kills, 5-2 in service aces, 10-4 in blocks, 37-21 in assists, and 49-34 in digs.

- All 14 healthy Panthers got on the court including Maddy Housenga who made her first appearance of the season and recorded a kill on her lone attack.

- Offensively, 41 of the Panthers' 91 total attacks went through Hayley Kreiger (14 kills and .542 hitting percentage) and Megan Herr (10 kills and .529 hitting percentage) including 24 and 17, respectively.

- Sami White fueled the DU attack with 26 assists while three of the squad's aces came from Nina Rudnitsky, who also dug out 16 attacks.

NEXT UP
Davenport will host Parkside on Saturday for Senior Day and first serve is set for 7 p.m. The Panthers will honor their two seniors, White and Charlie Smith prior to the start of the match.
