ASHLAND, Ohio - The Davenport University women's swimming & diving team competed in a head-to-head dual against Ashland for the first time on Saturday afternoon and came away the victor. The Panthers won 12 of the meet's 13 events and outscored the Eagles, 170-73.
"We knew today was going to be a challenge," said head coach,
Justin Vasquez. "Ashland is a good team and we had to travel to their place. Our girls stepped up to the challenge and performed well. They are establishing a team culture of being able to compete and perform well at any time."
Next up on the schedule, Davenport will compete in the Wabash Invitational on Friday-Sunday, Nov. 22-24 in Crawfordsville, Ind. Action on that Friday is set to begin at 10 a.m. inside the Class of 1950 Natatorium.
