ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Panthers competed in their final meet before the conference Championships on February 23 and 24. Davenport headed to Grand Valley for the fifth time this indoor season.
Alexandra Eby continues to improve in the pole vault, she broke the program record at the meet by clearing 3.66 meters.
Women
- Chieme Udaku finished in second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.91 seconds.
- In the 200 meter dash Davenport took places five through eight. Paige Gould placed the highest with her time of 26.54 seconds, taking fifth place.
- McKayla Nadolney finished eighth in the 400 meter dash, clocking a time of 1:01.98.
- In the 800 meter run Olivia Bordewyk took 11th place with her time of 2:22.74.
- Andrea Messing ran the 3,000 meter run in 11:05.04, taking 10th place.
- Davenport went one, two, three in the 5,000 meter run. Stormi Samuels finished third with a time of 21:12.79, Inez Samuels took second with a time of 21:01.19, and Shelbi Dyke came out on top with her time of 20:24.66.
- Nadia Bouwhuis cleared 1.50 meters in the high jump, taking eighth place.
- Eby had a great showing in a tough field in pole vault. Eby finished in ninth place, clearing 3.66 meters and setting a new program record in the process.
- In the long jump Kelsey Graham recorded a mark of 5.02 meters, placing sixth.
- Emma Schafer took fifth in the shot put, throwing 12.35 meters on her second toss.
- In the weight throw Jenna Schumaker finished sixth, tossing 15.76 meters.
Men
- Davenport took third and fourth place in the 60 meter dash. Joe Grundstrom finished fourth with a time of 7.16 seconds and Brett Schenck took third with a time of 7.11 seconds.
- Schenck also had a solid run in the 200 meter dash. He finished in 22.91 seconds, taking fourth place.
- In the 400 meter dash Zach Diamond placed sixth with his time of 50.88 seconds.
- Thomas VanSlembrouck ran the mile in 4:24.95, finishing 14th.
- In the 60 meter hurdles Zach Hammel-Brown took second place, clocking a time of 8.79 seconds.
- Colin Grady finished fifth in the long jump, leaping 6.71 meters on his second attempt.
- In the shot William Jones IV tossed 13.94 meters, placing sixth.
- Lastly, in the weight throw, Brandon MacGregor took fourth with his mark of 17.84 meters.
