CLERMONT, Fla. – The Panthers went into their final day of games with a tall task. Both teams, Saint Anselm and Cedarville, came into the contest with an undefeated record. Saint Anselm was 5-0, also currently the number one ranked team in the country, and Cedarville was 2-0. Davenport didn't pay much attention as they won both games! The Panthers completed the upset of the Hawks by a score of 6-3 in game 1. Davenport didn't let up as they beat Cedarville 4-3 in game two, handing both teams their first loss of the season.

The Hawks jumped out to an early lead in the game. They scored two runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead. Davenport consistently put runs on the board, scoring at least one run in every other inning. The Panthers got on the board in the second when Merice smashed a solo shot to center field. The game was tied 2-2 in the fourth inning when Flores hit a solo homer to right center. Davenport took their first lead of the game in the sixth inning. Flores doubled to right center, scoring Merice and Pauley. The Panthers extended the lead in the top of the seventh, scoring two runs. Crawford scored the first run of the inning, and the Pauley scored the next. Teunissen pitched all seven innings in the game and only allowed three runs. The Hawks scored one run in the bottom of the seventh, but Teunissen closed out the game with a strikeout to complete the upset.

Pauley carried the Panthers offensively in their game two win against Cedarville. She drilled a three-run homer in the second, giving DU a 3-0 lead. The Yellow Jackets scored two runs in the top of the sixth, cutting the Panthers down to one. Pauley responded in the bottom of the inning, hitting a single through the left side, scoring Jewell. Cedarville scored one run in the seventh, but Miller was clutch down the stretch and earned her second save of the season.
