GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Davenport men's lacrosse team had a baptism by fire in their first NCAA Division II game with a 20-1 loss at seventh-ranked Seton Hill on Sunday. Seton Hill went 12-5 last season and are off to a 2-0 start this season. Davenport was using this contest as a measuring stick right off the bat and will now make adjustments.
The Griffins had 11 different goal scorers led by Logan Maloni with four. Maloni also contributed five assists to the cause. Robert Hofseth recorded three goals and two assists. The Griffins controlled the pace winning 18-of-23 faceoffs.Â
Daniel Milano faced 36 shots on net and made 16 saves on the day for DU. The Panthers had 24 groundballs and caused six turnovers.
Keelan McKouen led DU with 10 shots but could not score.
Jordan Caskenette scored DU's goal with 1:10 left in the fourth quarter and it was unassisted.Â
