ALLENDALE, Mich. – The team stayed local to compete in the GVSU Tune Up, the last meet before the GLIAC Championships next week.
Alexandra Eby hit the NCAA Division II provisional mark in the pole vault, while
Joe Corts had two huge personal bests in the shot put and weight throw. Davenport is now prepped and ready for postseason competition, starting with the GLIAC Meet and then potentially the NCAA National Championships.
Women
- In the 60 meter dash, Stacia Rispress and Mya Staczek finished second and third. Rispress finished in 8.08 seconds and Staczek in 8.24 seconds.
- Emma Schafer took third in the 200 meter dash, clocking a time of 26.61 seconds.
- In the 400 meter run, Davenport took fourth and fifth. Sarah Stapleton finished fourth with a time of 1:01.60, and Joelle Humpula placed fifth with a time of 1:02.10.
- Julianna Wilson took 13th in the 800 meter run, finishing in 2:28.58.
- In the mile, McKenna Evans finished in 6:06.57 and placed 19th.
- Avri Beach took part in the 3,000 meter race, finishing in 12:39.49 and placing 20th.
- In the high jump, Deidre Lorton cleared 1.51 meters and placed fourth.
- Eby had a great day in the pole vault. She cleared 3.59 meters, taking first place and hitting the NCAA Division II provisional standard. Myah Kelly and Madeline Elmquist tied for third after clearing 3.44 meters.
- In the shot put, Schafer placed second with a throw of 11.80 meters.
- Jenna Schumaker placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 17.08 meters.

Men
- Joe Grundstrom placed second in the 60 meter dash, finishing in 7.17 seconds.
- In the 200 meter finals, Corbin DeJonge and Matthew Field took fourth and sixth. DeJonge finished in 23.05 seconds and Field in 23.42 seconds.
- Collin Graham placed fifth in the 400 meter run, clocking a time of 51.56 seconds.
- In the 800 meter run, Joey Fox finished in 1:58.45 and took seventh place.
- TJ Moore finished 12th in the mile, running it in 4:34.70.
- In the 3,000 meter run, Brendan McCoy placed 21st with a time of 10:18.27.
- Malcolm Caldwell placed third in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.34 seconds.
- In the high jump, Austin Berg finished third by clearing 1.84 meters and Andre Price placed fourth by clearing 1.79 meters.
- In the pole vault, Jacob Atlas cleared 4.17 meters and placed fourth.
- Isaiah Schafer placed first in the shot put, throwing 16.16 meters on his first attempt. Corts placed fourth with a 15.17 meter toss, a personal best for him.
- In the weight throw, Schafer placed third, Claude Ockert in fourth, Corts in fifth and Noah Evers in sixth. Schafer threw 17.45 meters, Ockert 17.31 meters, Corts 15.64 meters and Evers 14.81 meters. This was also a personal best for Corts.
