GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport competed in the GR Sports Hall of Fame Classic, hosted by Aquinas, for their sixth meet of the season. The field was extremely small, as it was just Davenport, Aquinas, and Cornerstone. Two more program records fell,
Romario Salmon broke the long jump record and
Emma Schafer broke the 60 meter hurdles record.
Women
- In the 60 meter dash, Joelle Jumpula placed third with a time of 8.08 seconds.
- Stacia Rispress and Kyla Chappell placed second and third in the 200 meter dash. Rispress clocked a time of 26.67 seconds and Chappell a time of 27.17 seconds.
- In the 600 meter run, Sarah Stapleton finished in 1:48.97, placing third.
- Erin Dorn was the lone Panther running in the 800 meter run. She finished in 2:28.07 and placed fourth.
- In the 1,000 meter run, Julianna Wilson placed third and Schafer in fourth. Wilson ran the event in 3:20.85 and Schafer in 3:32.71.
- McKenna Evans placed eighth in the mile, finishing in 6:18.07.
- In the 60 meter hurdles history was made. Schafer broke the program record, previously held by Alexandra Eby, running the event in 8.97 seconds. Eby's previous record sat at 9.06 seconds. Schafer finished second in the event.
- Samantha Morrison placed fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.50 meters on her first try.
- In the pole vault, Eby cleared 3.42 meters on her first attempt. Eby placed third in the event.
- Mackenzie Brigham recorded a mark of 5.22 meters in the long jump, taking third place.
- In the shot put, Rachel Morris placed fourth with a toss of 11.23 meters.
- Jenna Schumaker had a quality night in the weight throw. She tossed 17.66 meters on her final attempt, taking first place in the meet and moving up in the national rankings.
Men
- Colin Grady earned first place in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.98 seconds.
- In the 200 meter dash, Jack Sandstedt, Matthew Field, and Collin Graham placed fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. Graham ran the race in 23.98 seconds, Field in 23.96 seconds, and Sandstedt in 23.87 seconds.
- Graham also competed in the 600 meter dash, taking first in the event with a time of 1:27.43.
- Brad Hotovy was the lone Panther running the 800 meter race. He finished fifth with a time of 2:06.94.
- In the 1,000 meter run, Hunter Nelson finished fourth and Joey Fox finished fifth. Nelson had a time of 2:41.88 and Fox a time of 2:42.78.
- TJ Moore finished sixth in the mile, while Shem Haas took eighth. Moore finished in 4:40.30 and Haas 4:46.04.
- In the 60 meter hurdles, Corbin DeJonge finished in 8.48 seconds and Noah Dooley in 8.54 seconds.
- Andre Price took first place in the high jump. He cleared 1.83 meters on his third and final attempt.
- Salmon etched his name into the DU record books in the long jump. He jumped 7.18 meters on his third attempt, beating the old record of 7.16 meters. Salmon took first in the event, while Grady took second.
- In the triple jump, Austin Berg placed first with a mark of 12.29 meters.
- Isaiah Schafer took first in the shot put, tossing 16.72 meters on his first throw.
- In the weight throw, Claude Ockert took first and Schafer second. Ockert threw 17.17 meters and Schafer 16.91 meters.
