GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The 2021-22 season is well underway for the Davenport University Pompon team and they are preparing to take on their first competition in November. With their largest roster to date and more competitions added to their catalog, they are asking for your support. This week they will kickstart their annual letter campaign and giving webpage.

Members of the team will be personally sending out support letters to friends, family and fans requesting support to the program. The campaign will run now through the end of the season and will play a large part in supporting the team's goals for the season. All proceeds go directly to the pompon team and are tax-deductible.

"We launch a giving campaign every year but this year it is extra special to us. We are adding in a few different regional and local competitions to our catalog and are hoping to gain enough momentum to help fund a trip to the College Classic held by Dance Team Union in Orlando, Florida this April. We have a very solid support system that has never let us down. We know without the love and support from our fans we would not be able to do what we love." Erin Engeseth - Head Coach.

Engeseth explains, "The gear site is an excellent way to support the team. Many of our fans like the option to purchase gear so that when they come to watch us perform they can show their personal pride for the team and Davenport. There is some really great stuff on the store site including some outdoor apparel. All of the apparel is from Adidas, is really good quality and super stylish. Definitely a fun and practical way to support our growing team."
