GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team led Ferris State two sets to one and the score was tied at 12-12 in the fourth on Friday night inside the DU Student Center. However, the Bulldogs responded with an 8-2 run to go up by six, 20-14, won the fourth, 25-18, to force a fifth and sealed it after that.
Next up on the schedule, Davenport will be the fifth seed in the GLIAC Tournament and face fourth-seeded Grand Valley State on Wednesday in Allendale at 7 p.m. The Lakers won both of the teams' regular season meetings, both of which were in four sets. Making their second league tournament appearance in as many seasons, the Panthers improved their seed from No. 7 a season ago to No. 5 this fall.

Match Notes
- The Panthers' best offensive set came in the second where they hit .341 (17-3-41) while the Bulldogs were best in that same set at .306 (16-5-36).
- Ferris State was taken to a fifth set for just the second time this season (2-0 in those matches) in a total of 26 matches played.
- Kreiger's memorable run continued as she became the fifth player in program history to reach 1,300 kills and upped her season total to 429, which is good for fifth in program history.
- The South Haven native also reached 20 kills in a single match for the ninth time this season and 17th time in her career.
- Also on her Senior Day, Herr tied her season high in kills with 14, something she last did on Sept. 11 against Notre Dame and has done three times this fall.
- Turnquist reached 10 or more kills for the first time in her career and was on fire on Saturday with 13 kills on 29 attacks giving her eight or more kills in three-straight matches.
- Coppess was the fourth Panther to reach the double-figures in kills and did so with 10, which ties the personal best for the Ohio native.
- Coppess did so while hitting .304 and hit even better the last time she had kills, .409 against Parkside on Oct. 1.
- Odeen tallied multiple service aces for the fifth time this season and was just one off her season high of four set on Oct. 15 vs Drury.
- Coppess also reached three or more total blocks for the fifth time this season and second time in as many outings.
- Odeen's 37 assists were her most since 43 against Oklahoma Baptist on Sept. 4 and Corstange dug out 26 attempts, her most 30 vs Notre Dame on Sept. 11.
