GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team began a three-match weekend with a 6-1 loss to Walsh on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers improved to 3-0 overall while the Panthers are now 1-2.
Willemien Coetzee had the greatest success for Davenport as she was a winner in singles and doubles. She teamed with
Sophie Jackson for a 6-2 win at one doubles and then won 2-6, 6-4, 9-7 in a tiebreaker at one singles over Katharina Razum. The other two doubles matches and five singles matches were won by the Cavaliers.
