ALMA, Mich. - The Davenport STUNT team had a heart-racing day for their first game of the 2021 season at Alma College on Sunday. Two of the top teams in the country battled into overtime and the Panthers came out with a 15-14 victory in overtime. This was another classic matchup as the teams have built a close rivalry over the years.

QUICK HITTERS

• Quarter 1 Partner Stunts was a tough one for the Panthers losing two points going into Quarter 2 Pyramids and Tosses. 
• Quarter 2 had a strong start and DU made up a point! Down by one going into halftime! 
• Quarter 3 Jumps and Tumbling DU made up ground and the score is all tied up. 
• Quarter 4 Combination Routine is a strong one of the Panthers but the Scots hold on and it's a tied game going into overtime. 
• Overtime rules state that teams must perform Quarter 4 Routine 1. If it's assessed that it's another tie, it will move to Quarter 4 Routine 2 etc. The Panthers clinched the point in the Jumps and Tumbling section and ended the game as 15-14 winners!
