It's only been 475 days, but the Davenport University women's volleyball team will finally get to play a home match again. Friday (8 p.m.) and Saturday (4 p.m.), Davenport will host Purdue Northwest inside the DU Student Center and with 0-2 records, both teams will be looking for their first win of the season. The Panthers opened their 2021 campaign at Ashland while The Pride debuted at home against Wayne State.
In those two showings, the Panthers' offense was paced by
Megan Herr (26 kills),
Hayley Kreiger (22 kills and two service aces),
Grace Hayes (37 assists),
Nicole Odeen (28 assists), and
Kendra DeJonge (two aces). Defensively,
Nina Rudnitsky (44 digs), DeJonge (six blocks) and Herr (four blocks) led the way. For The Pride, their team leaders include Kenzie Duggan (11 kills), Lauren Sanders (10 kills), Holly Faley (33 assists), Summer Clark (three aces), Danielle Fowler (31 digs), and Rachel Wilkening (three blocks).
