Men's Basketball Heads North to the U.P.

The Davenport University men's basketball team has reached the halfway point of the regular season so their reward is a trip to the Upper Peninsula and a date with Lake Superior State. The Panthers will look for their first-ever win on the Lakers' floor (0-3) as the two teams square off on Friday (3 p.m.) and Saturday (1 p.m.) inside Bud Cooper Gymnasium.

Davenport continues to be led by redshirt senior point guard, Chris Rollins, who is up to 912 points for his Davenport career. Rollins is putting up 17 points per game, nearly five points more than his career average coming into this season, and that number is good for fifth in the GLIAC. The Panthers are one of just two teams (Wayne State) in the league with two scorers in the top 10 in scoring as Scott Ulaneo is 10th with 14.7 points per contest. Ulaneo is also fifth in rebounding (7.6 RPG) while Rollins is also tied for first in assists (4.3 APG).
