GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Simply put, the Davenport women's volleyball team didn't play well in the first set against Grand Valley State (received votes in most recent AVCA poll) on Saturday. The Panthers dropped the set, 25-12, but quickly turned the page to a historical win in set two, 25-8. That effort marked the first time in the all-time series with the Lakers that the Panthers have held them to single-digit points in a single set. In fact, it marked the first time Davenport has done it at home since the 2015 season. The Panthers went on to take sets three and four to avenge Friday night's loss in Allendale.
FINAL: Davenport 3, Grand Valley State 1 (12-25, 25-8, 25-23, 25-17)
