WINTER PARK, Fla. - Facing Rollins for the first time in program history, the Davenport University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision with the Tars on Friday night at Barker Family Stadium and Cahall-Sandspur Field.
The Tars (1-2) scored their goals in the 44th and 73rd minutes while the Panthers (0-3) were unable to get a shot off against a stifling Rollins defense. Davenport notched just one corner kick attempt and in her first start of the season,
Samantha Beckles made three saves on 23 shots faced.
Next up, Davenport will face Embry-Riddle on Sunday at 10 a.m. in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
