DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Davenport University women's soccer team played its final non-conference match of the 2021 regular season on Sunday morning at Embry-Riddle of the Sunshine State Conference. The Eagles took down the Panthers 5-0 in the two programs' first-ever meeting.
The home team out-shot its visitors 23-0 including 10-0 in shots on goal while scoring goals in the 19th, 34th, 46th, and 48th (x2) minutes. In goal for Davenport,
Gabriana Bennecke made the start with one save before
Samantha Beckles came off the bench to stop four shot attempts.
Next up, the Panthers will begin GLIAC play at Michigan Tech on Friday with the kickoff set for 7 p.m.
