COLUMBUS, Ohio - Davenport played against Ohio State University for their fifth match of the 15's season on October 14th. The final score against the Buckeyes was 59-20 resulting in Davenport's next win of the season, leaving them undefeated leaving them 6-0. As the season progresses, the Panthers just continue to show their division and this college who they really are. They are a force to be reckoned with, continuing this season with strength and skill. It was hard to predict this match due to the Panthers not playing the Buckeyes for the past few years. In the first twelve minutes of the first half the score was 21-0, leaving the Panthers with a running head start and some extra confidence. Running the ball and making a few breaks were prevalent in the first half, along with strong set pieces and kicks gaining them some advantage. Sean Nolan was able to cross kick which lead into two tries for Davenport, as well as a try made from a tap and go by Maris Kurti. By the second half the Panthers worked on swinging the ball wider and using the whole field to their advantage. As the season ramps up, our Panthers will be continuously working on their skills and hopefully continuing their undefeated season.
