AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Davenport women's golf team hosted their own Panther Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Stonehedge North Golf Club. Davenport finished fourth in the tournament with a total of 626 strokes. They were in second place after day one with a score of 307, but dropped 12 strokes on Sunday (319) to finish in fourth place.

Lauren Gervais earned medalist honors at the last event (Lewis Flyer Invitational) and backed that up by sharing first place with Mandy Ehrlich of Saginaw Valley State. Gervais and Ehrlich battled for four holes in a playoff for medalist honors and Ehrlich took those honors. Gervais shot 75 yesterday and was even-par 72 on Sunday in rather lousy weather conditions. She had 12 straight pars on her card to start today and then birdied the par-3, 13th hole. She gave that stroke back on the par-4, 15th hole with a bogey. 

Hannah Meloche finished in a four-way tie for 14th place with a score of 157. Meloche shot 78-79 to finish at 13-over par for the tournament. She had one birdie on Sunday coming on the par-4, 7th hole measuring 299 yards. Melissa Walker was also tied for 14th place with a 157. She shot 75-82 but dropped 10 spots in today's round after going three-over par on Saturday. Walker did have a birdie however on the par-5, 12th hole which measured 500 yards. Ahja Crosby tied for 28th place with a total of 166. She had a 79 in the first round and 87 in the final round. Crosby birdied the par-4, 6th hole today. Courtney Coffman tied for 30th with a score of 167 and shot 85-82. Coffman had a real see-saw round on Sunday with three birdies, six pars, six bogeys, two double bogeys, and a triple bogey. Coffman was playing as an individual and didn't count towards the team total.

Karlee Hallberg tied for 40th place with a 172. Isabella Heintzelman carded a 172 as well to tie for 40th. Kelsey Malone shot 178 and was in 48th place. Taylor West tied for 51st with scores of 86-96 (182).
