DU Wins Eighth Match in a Row for First Time Since 2014

HAMMOND, Ind. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team has won eight-straight matches for the first time since 2014. Saturday, the Panthers improved to 11-0 in the all-time series against Purdue Northwest and still haven't even dropped a set to the Pride. Next up for DU is the Midwest Region Crossover on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 14-15 right back in Hammond with the three opponents to be determined.

- Davenport hit .323 for the match, their second-highest clip of the season (.398 vs. Newberry) and highest against a GLIAC foe on the road since Oct. 5, 2019, also at PNW.
- Purdue Northwest hit .062, tied for the second-lowest mark by a DU opponent this season, and the Panthers are 15-2 this season when the other team hits .200 or lower.
- The Panthers came out red hot on Saturday hitting an absurd .556 in the first set with 17 kills and only two errors on 27 total attacks.
- Kreiger made it 11 double-doubles for the season and 29 for her career.
- Kalinowski set a new season high in aces with three and has back-to-back outings with two or more for the second time this season.
- Kreiger tied her season high in aces with three, a feat she's reached twice this fall.
- Twenty matches into the season, head coach Brian Netzler has tied his personal best in wins for a season with 16 set last fall.
- For the crossover, Davenport will play three matches in two days with the opponents being announced early next week.
