Davenport Improves to 9-2 All-Time Against Lake Superior State

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team won its third match in a row, fourth in the last five and ninth straight against Lake Superior State on Friday with a sweep of the Lakers. The Panthers (22-7, 13-4 GLIAC) are now tied for fourth in wins for a single season in program history and will finish the regular season on Saturday at Ferris State with a 6 p.m. first serve.

- Kreiger notched her 16th double-double of the season and 34th of her career.
- Taylor reached 15 kills in a single match for the seventh time this fall and first time since Sept. 23 against Ferris State.
- Kreiger and Taylor were brilliant hitting a combined .391 with 32 kills and only five errors on 69 attacks.
- Wilson has had six or more kills in 10 matches this season including two of her last three.
- As a team, Davenport improved to 17-1 when hitting at least .200 and 16-0 when hitting at least .215.
- The Panthers hit .274 for the match and got better as it progressed including .196 in the first, .306 in the second and .355 in the third.
- The Lakers hit just .132 in response with their highest clip being .257 in the second.
- Davenport will look for the season sweep of Ferris State on Saturday after defeating the Bulldogs for the first time in program history back on Sept. 23.
