SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The women's tennis team had a really good battle with Lawrence Tech on Saturday at the Franklin Athletic Club. The Blue Devils ended up with a 4-3 win over the Panthers.
Lawrence Tech took the doubles point winning two of three matches.
Willemien Coetzee and
Vladislava Shumilova were victorious at one doubles, 6-2, over Alice Radde and Olga Aligas Mejina.
Sophie Jackson and
Louise Hosking went into a tiebreak at three doubles against Samantha Weber and Maria Nicholls by dropped the match 7-6.
Kumiko Yamaguchi at four singles had a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win over Carolyn Minners.
Isabella Carofano at two singles beat Margot Fontaine by scores of 7-6 (8-6), 2-6, 10-8. Shumilova was also a winner at five singles over Radde 6-2, 6-1.
