GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The GLIAC opener for the women's tennis team saw them drop a 7-0 decision to Northwood indoors at the Grand Rapids Racquet Club. The Panthers are now 5-12 overall while Northwood improved to 9-5, 2-0 in the GLIAC.
The Timberwolves swept the doubles portion including a 6-3 win at one and three doubles. The other match went 6-4 at two doubles. That match featured

Charlotte Zhuwakini of DU against Rafaella Platsiota and Sanvi Ahluwalia of NU.
Williemien Coetzee at one singles was in a battle with Elizaveta Velichko. It went to three sets as Coetzee dropped set one 6-4 and then won set two 7-5. Velichko won the super tiebreaker 10-8.
Kumiko Yamaguchi at five singles had a competitive match falling 7-6, 6-4 against Iryna Trystan.
