GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's tennis team ran into another quality opponent on Saturday in Wayne State and fell 7-0 to the Warriors at the Grand Rapids Racquet Club. DU is now 5-13 overall and 0-2 in the GLIAC while Wayne State improved to 8-5, 3-0 in the conference.

Vladislava Shumilova of DU and Anais Ruyssen/Marta Komar of WSU was tightly contested with Ruyssen and Komar winning 7-5. DU managed just one game in the other two doubles matches.
Isabella Carofano at two singles went into a tiebreak in the first set but dropped it 7-6 and fell 6-3 in the second set against Komar. Coetzee at one singles similarly lost 7-6 in the first set and 6-2 in the second against Ruyssen.
Kumiko Yamaguchi at five singles dropped a 7-6, 6-3 decision against Suki Mandair.
