BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - Sarah Possett (pictured) scored the first goal of her career in the 19th minute on Sunday at Ferris State before the Bulldogs tied the score for good in the 22nd minute. Now sitting at 1-3-2 overall and 0-1-1 in GLIAC play, the Panthers will host Purdue Northwest (0-5-1, 0-2) on Friday at 7 p.m. at The Farm.
Playing for the first time since November of 2019, Possett became the fifth different player to score a goal for the Panthers this season, just as many as in 2021. Ferris State out-shot Davenport 17-8, including 5-3 in shots on goal.
DU's eight attempts came from five different players including
Citlali Luna (4 shots, 1 shot on goal), Possett (1 shot on goal),
Regan Heintz (1 shot on goal),
Medina Hindic (1 shot), and
Haley Diekevers (1 shot).
In goal,
Gabriana Bennecke made four saves on five shots faced.
