UNIV. CENTER, Mich. - The Panther swimming and diving teams traveled to Saginaw Valley State on Saturday for a dual against the Cardinals. The women's team got a win by a score of 168-132 and the men's team lost to the 18th-ranked Cardinals by a score of 158-135.
The highlights of the meet included a school record by
Ella Wagner in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:08.40. In addition, there was a NCAA mark set by
Dylan Theisen in the one-meter diving with 287.80 points. It was Dylan's first cut made and he would need another one in order to qualify for the NCAA Championships. There were also a few "B" Cuts that were hit including
Rebecca Wallis in the 500 freestyle who won the event with a time of 5:02.75. On the men's side,
Alvaro Ruiz de Canas in the 200 freestyle finished second with a time of 1:39.85.
Richard Polasek in the 100 and 200 breaststroke won the 100 in a time of 54.79 and the 200 in a time of 2:00.48.
Other individual event winners included
Emma Wallis in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 17:56.40.

Mallory Brownrigg in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.89),
Eric Perczak in the 200 butterfly (1:50.75) and 100 butterfly (50.61),
Julia Mizik in the 50 freestyle (24.93) and the 100 freestyle (53.72),
Kevin Mills in the 50 freestyle (20.77), Abigail Wampler in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.91), Lexi Mirandette in the three-meter diving (268.20),
Ella Wagner in the 200 IM (2:07.09), and
Richard Polasek in the 200 IM (1:53.40).
