Preview: DU Set to continue GLIAC Play in Pair of Road Matches

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After playing four of its last five matches at home, the Davenport University women's volleyball team will hit the road this weekend, traveling to No. 20 Ferris State on Friday (Oct. 6) and Lake Superior State on Saturday (Oct. 7). The Panthers (7-8, 4-3 GLIAC) currently sit at No. 3 in the conference standings, tied with Purdue Northwest and Parkside.

Player Notes
Abby Alan 
  • Had a breakout performance in her first start, posting a career-high 17 kills while hitting .316 in a 3-1 win over Wayne State (Sept. 29).
  • Her previous career-high was five kills against East Central (Sept.1).
  • Finished last weekend with 27 kills through two matches.

Nicole Odeen
  • Recorded back-to-back season highs in assists last week, tallying 34 against Wayne State (Sept. 29) and 40 against SVSU (Sept. 30)
  • Tied a season-high in service aces against Wayne State (Sept. 29) with five.
  • Leads the team with 306 assists on the season.
  • Tied with Stephanie Kalinowski with 22 aces to lead the Panthers.

Emmy Webb
