MIDLAND, Mich. - The men's tennis team traveled to the Greater Midland Tennis Center on a warm mid-winter afternoon and won 5-2 win over Northwood. The men earned their first win over a GMAC opponent this spring.

The Panthers swept the doubles, earning the doubles point. For one doubles,
Jan Stolin and
Joel Mast teamed up for a 6-3 victory over Amaan Tezabwala and Mathis Violet.
Carlos Henriquez and
Simone Pacciolla at two doubles earned a win in stunning fashion as Pacciolla hit the finishing overhead for the 6-4 victory over Max Wild and David Sedlar. The doubles point was earned on the rackets of
Daniil Khitrou and
Subash Paramasivam at the three doubles as they earned a convincing 6-3 win over Eduardo Cabral and Tony Henrio.
Paramasivam at the one singles position pushed through to a 6-3, 7-5 win over Wild. At two singles, Stolin was tested in the second set before ultimately being victorious over Violet 6-3, 7-6(3). The match-clinching point came in at three singles, Mast earned a comfortable 6-3, 6-4 win over Tezabwala. Although the Panthers earned the victory early on they continued to play on as the three remaining matches at four, five, and six singles all went the distance. Panthers earned one out of the three final matches as Khitrou earned a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Henrio.
