MIDLAND, Mich. - The women's tennis team went on the road at the Greater Midland Tennis Center on a sunny winter Sunday afternoon to take on Northwood. They picked up a nailbiting 4-3 win against the Timberwolves and are on a three-match win streak.
To start the Panthers had a few bumps in the road, but ultimately they earned the doubles point. 
Amy Bloch and 
Willemien Coetzee formed a one doubles team and they stormed to a 6-1 win over Rafaella Fulop and Rafaella Platsiota. At two doubles, it was 
Charlotte Zhuwakini and 
Hermon Mikael who teamed up but dropped their match 6-1 to S.M. Von Dusterlho and Danijela Danilovic. At three doubles, 
Louise Hosking and 
Isabella Carofano picked up the doubles win for the Panthers 6-4 over Regan Fales and Savannah Matuszewski.
Bloch at one singles was outlasted in a grueling three-set match by Platsiota 6-3, 1-6, 3-6. At the two-singles spot, Coetzee went to the distance earning the clinching point for the Panthers 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-3. At the three singles position, Mikael lost a physical contest 6-2, 1-6, 3-6 to Danilovic. Carofano's hot streak continued with a 6-1, 6-3 victory Von Dusterhlo. Hosking in at the fifth singles spot earned a tight victory over Matuszewski 7-5, 2-6, 6-4. Zhuwakini jumped in at six singles losing a contested match 6-4, 6-4 to Fales.
