Sullivan Joins DU STUNT and Cheer as Assistant Coach

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport STUNT and Cheer head coach Celia Kiogima has announced that Amber Sullivan will be returning to DU as a full-time assistant coach ahead of the 2023-24 season.

"To say I'm excited is an understatement," Kiogima said. "Amber is an incredible addition and we are thrilled to have her back in this capacity. Her knowledge, passion, and all-around work ethic are inspiring to all. Coach Sullivan and I have a long history of coaching together. I'm looking forward to taking on the next chapter in Davenport Cheer and STUNT with her on our staff."

Sullivan is in her 14th year at Champion Cheerleading as a director. She is a former coach at Motor City Cheer where she has led her teams to three Gold Medals at The All Star Worlds and one Silver Medal. She was named the Director of STUNT The Sport at Motor City Cheer where she led the program to undefeated seasons.

"I am so excited to be back with the Panthers and to work alongside these incredible coaches," Sullivan said. "This program has been built on a solid foundation of integrity, resilience, and dedication. I am excited to continue to teach, learn and grow surrounded by the best."

Sullivan is a former athlete from Oklahoma State University (2015 STUNT National Champions) and Davenport University (2013 NCA National Champion). She coached at Davenport from 2015 until 2019 and is a five-time National Champion Coach for the DU Cheer and STUNT programs.

The Panthers enter the 2023-24 season off the heels of an impressive 13-2 campaign, which included a national championship, the eighth in program history.
