Physical battle against SVSU ends in 0-0 draw

Box Score UNIV. CENTER, Mich. - The Davenport University men's soccer team walked away in a scoreless road match against Saginaw Valley State, 0-0. The draw brought DU's record to 2-2-3 on the season (1-1-1 in GLIAC).

DU's efforts on the offensive attack were led by two shot-on-goal attempts from Andrew Dykstra followed by one shot-on-goal from Vitalis Takawira Jr and Nic Baigrie for a total of 12 shot attempts from the team as a collective. Goalkeeper Bobby Curran was tested in the box by the Cardinal offense, finishing with three saves total in 90 minutes played in his first match preventing a goal from being scored against him.

Now at the halfway point of their regular season schedule, the Panthers will look forward to hosting their next five matches at home over the course of three weeks with Purdue Northwest up next on Friday, Sept. 29.
