Preview: Panthers Return Home, Set to Host Warriors and Cardinals

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -  After playing three matches in five days, the Davenport University women's volleyball team will continue GLIAC play, hosting Wayne State and Saginaw Valley State this Friday and Saturday at the DU Student Center. The Panthers (5-8, 2-3 GLIAC) are tied for sixth in the conference, with two of their three losses coming to the top two teams in the GLIAC (No. 21 Ferris State and Grand Valley State). 

Player Notes
Stephanie Kalinowski
  • Has won three consecutive GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week awards.
  • Leads the conference in digs (230) and second in digs per set (4.51).
  • Set a new career-high in digs last week against No. 22 Ferris State (Sept. 23), recording 37 against the Bulldogs.
  • Has registered double-digit digs in 12 of 13 matches this season.

Emmy Webb
  • Hit a season-high .600 in the win over Lake Superior State last Friday (Sept. 22).
  • Recorded double-digit kills for the second time the season against Ferris State, finishing with 11 while swinging at a .286 clip.

Morgan Tydings
  • Finished with a career-high 11 kills against Lake Superior State last Friday (Sept. 22).
