Panthers Continue Homestand with Midweek Match Against No. 4 Ferris State

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - In the midst of a five-match homestretch, the Davenport women's volleyball team is hosting No. 4 Ferris State at the DU Student Center at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night

The Panthers (4-10, 2-4 GLIAC) have won their first two matches of the homestand and are looking to make it three straight against the nationally-ranked Bulldogs.

Abby Alan
  • In the midst of a breakout sophomore campaign, leading the squad in kills (149), kills per set (3.04) and points per set (3.43).
  • Coming off a career-best performance, notching a career-high 22 kills to lead the Panthers past Parkside 3-2 on Saturday (Oct. 5).
  • She has recorded double-digit kills eight times this season and has tallied three double-doubles.

Mehl Hansen
  • Leads DU in total assists (335) as the primary setter, ranking seventh in the conference.
  • Last time out, the junior registered a season-high 47 assists against Parkside.
  • Has tallied 30 or more assists in four matches this season.

Rachel Youngblood
  • Ranks second on the team in kills with 131 as a true freshman.
  • Through the two games last weekend, the outside hitter combined for 30 kills between the two victories.
  • The Baltimore, Mich. native recorded a season-best .314 hitting percentage against Parkside on Saturday (Oct. 5).
