GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport University men's wrestling entered conference action this past weekend, dropping matchups against Tiffin University (48-5) and Lake Erie College (32-22) in DU's first-ever duals as a G-MAC member. The Dragons (No. 21) and Storm (No. 23) were listed in the Oct. 28, 2024 NCAA Division II Men's Coaches Preseason Rankings as the Panthers held their own against nationally recognized programs.

Sophomore Cole Karasinski tallied all five points against Tiffin after a win by technical fall (19-3, 4:24) over Bryson Cole. However, it was a tighter contest against Lake Erie, with DU winning four matchups. Tyler Ueberroth won by fall over Brenden Hamilton (4:19) with Evan Wakefield taking his 197lb matchup over Collin Fairbanks (MD, 14-1), as Darrin Alward Sean House secured victories after the Storm forfeited the weight class matchups.
