GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport ACHA men's Division I hockey team picked up a 4-0 win in the consolation game of the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Tournament on Saturday over Aquinas. The Panthers were able to take advantage of costly penalties by the Saints and scored three of their four goals on the power play. Aquinas was shutout in both games of the tournament after falling 10-0 against Calvin on Friday.

Ryder McMillen, and
Brendan Bauer notched the team's power play goals.
Robert McLaughlin was also able to net the even-strength goal for Davenport. The Saints would finish with 24 shots on goal, but
Nathan Gauthier stopped all of them for his first shutout of the season in net. Davenport was credited with 37 shots on frame and Simon Johnson made 33 saves for Aquinas. Eight different players had one assist for Davenport as Bauer, McMillen and McLaughlin had two-point games with an assist and goal.
Davenport, ranked No. 21 in the latest national poll, is now 13-10 overall and will wrap up their 2024 schedule with two games against Cleary University starting on Friday, Dec. 13 in Howell, Mich.
