Panthers Picked First in G-MAC Preseason Poll

G-MAC – The Davenport University STUNT team was selected first in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) preseason coaches poll on Tuesday afternoon.

A season ago, the Panthers finished as the regular-season conference champions, as well as tournament champions. In total, DU finished 23-2 overall, going a perfect 10-0 in conference action.

To cap off an impressive year, the Panthers also won the STUNT National Championship, defeating No. 3 Jessup in the championship game 15-12. It marked Davenport's third consecutive national championship appearance, winning two of those.

1. Davenport - 31 points (5 first-place votes)
2. Ashland- 27 points (1 first-place vote)
3. Tiffin- 23 points
4. Malone- 19 points
5. Walsh- 14 points
6. Ursuline- 12 points

DU will open its season on Saturday, Feb. 14, against Walsh in North Canton, Ohio.
