Panthers Pick Up Second Consecutive Win

CRESTVIEW, Ky. - The Davenport University men's lacrosse team defeated Thomas More 18-11 on Saturday afternoon, picking up its second consecutive win and moving to 3-1 in conference action.

Within the first 60 seconds, Luke Eichbauer found the back of the net to put the Panthers on the board first. Less than six minutes later, the junior scored again to push the lead to 2-0.

Beginning in the second period, Davenport put together a massive 9-1 run to take a 12-3 advantage over the Saints. Seve Cordero led the way during that stretch, scoring four goals for the Panthers.

DU took its largest lead of the day with 6:33 remaining in the third period following a goal by Luke Fritz, putting the Panthers up 10 (14-4).

Antonio Hart spent all 60 minutes in the net for Davenport, racking up 13 saves in the victory.

Leading the Panthers' offense was Jayden Ashley, recording six points (four assists and two goals). Luke Fritz added four goals and an assist, while Cordero ended the day with four goals for DU. Charlie Fritz chipped in with three assets and one goal for the Panthers.
