Panthers Split with Lakers to Close 2025 Campaign

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Davenport University softball team split with Parkside on Saturday (April 26) at the Case Softball Complex.

Game One
Result: L, 9-1 (5 Inn.)
How it Happened
Davenport was able to load the bases in the opening inning. Kailyne Luna and Ally Prasnjak each notched a single, while Savanna Disbrow was walked. However, DU could not bring any of them home, leaving three runners on base.

In the top of the third, the Panthers found themselves in a similar scenario with three runners on base. The result was the same, leaving all three on base.

Darby Kramp put the Panthers on the board in the second inning, launching the ball over the left-center field fence.

Mariah Stines and Julia Perry split time in the circle in the loss for Davenport.

Kramp, Luna, Prasnjak, Cole, Disbrow and Alex Rendon all recorded a hit in the loss for DU.

Game Two
Result: W, 1-0
How it Happened
Prasnjak opened the second inning with a single to third base. Moments later, Kramp was walked while Grace Gilbert singled to the pitcher to load the bases. A sacrifice fly from Hannah Mauer allowed Prasnjak to reach home and score the only run of the game.

Hannah Tahney picked up her seventh win of the season in the circle, pitching four innings and delivering three strikeouts.

Leading the way offensively for DU was Prasnjak with one hit and one run. Rendon, Alaina Schwanke, Gilbert and Amanda Pay all chipped in with one hit apiece for the Panthers.
