Five Panthers Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Five Players on the Davenport University softball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Brooke Bernt, Ally Prasnjak, Savanna Disbrow, Kailyne Luna and Hailey Whisman were the five Panthers featured on the list.

To be nominated, the student-athlete must be a sophomore both academically and athletically. They must have competed in 90% of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66% of the games/contests/sets. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Graduate students must have a minimum of 3.50 for both their graduate program GPA and their undergraduate GPA.

In her fourth and final season with the Panthers, Bernt had her best season in nearly every statistical category. She finished with career-highs in batting average (.337), hits (35), triples (one), runs (18) and fielding percentage (.970). She tied career-bests in doubles (two) and RBIs (eight). She notched multiple hits in 12 games this season and recorded three hits twice. She also earned Honorable Mention All-GLIAC honors.

Prasnjak was a vital part of the DU offense in 2025, leading the squad in hits (41), doubles (12), home runs (four) and RBIs (25). She also added 23 runs and a stolen base in her first season with Davenport while playing and starting in all 48 games. Her best game of the season came against Ferris State (March 26), knocking a walk-off three-run home run out of the park in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat the Bulldogs. She finished the game with three hits, one double, a home run, three RBIs and a run scored. Prasnjak was an Honorable Mention All-GLIAC performer in her first year with DU.

As a senior, Disbrow was one of only three Panthers to play and start in all 48 games. She ranked second on the squad in hits (39), RBIs (24) and home runs (three). The Richland, Mich. native also added 22 runs and eight doubles in her final season with the team. 

Luna also played and started in all 48 games for DU. The Drury transfer ended the season leading the squad in runs scored (30) and second in doubles (nine). She also tallied 28 hits, one home run, 15 RBIs and two stolen bases. 

Whisman was the primary pitcher for Davenport in 2025, leading the squad in the following statistical categories; ERA (3.94), wins (nine), innings pitched (128) and strikeouts (79).
