The Panthers struck first with a goal in the first half, but the Timberwolves equalized in the second half. Davenport managed 17 shots, with 8 on target, while Northwood's defense held strong with 7 saves.

The opening period saw Davenport establish an early advantage, highlighted by Drew Matyunas' goal in the 31st minute, assisted by Ethan Engle. Despite multiple offside calls against them, the Panthers maintained consistent pressure, recording several shots, including attempts from Austin Hall and Easton Lopez. Beau Hudd contributed defensively with a key save in the third minute, ensuring Davenport held a 1-0 lead at the end of the period.

The second half began with Davenport maintaining offensive pressure, highlighted by several attempts on goal.
