ALLENDALE, Mich. — Davenport was edged out by Grand Valley State in collegiate swimming on Saturday (Jan. 17), with standout performances from
Asyia Shank who secured a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.95. The Panthers showed resilience in the 500-yard freestyle, where
Makayla Muir claimed second, finishing in 5:36.88.

Robby Russo hit the national cut in the 1-meter, 11-dive with a score of 453.08.
Parker Schut also hit the national cut in the 1-meter, 11-dive with a score of 454.73.
The Panther divers also continued their success after a two-month hiatus around the holidays. Russo set a season PR in the 3-meter, 6-dive and the 1-meter, 11-dive. Jonathan Wallace set his season PR in the 1-meter, 6-dive (217.95).
Avary Robinson also set her PR for the season in the 3-meter, 6-dive (162.25).
Five PR's were set for the career for five divers. Robinson in the 1-meter, 6-dive (188.18), Schut in the 1-meter, 11-dive,
Maya Deaton in both the 1-meter, 11-dive (203.48) and the 3-meter, 6-dive (212.48), and
Elise Miller (233.63) in the 1-meter, 11-dive.
Aubrey Underwood secured fourth place in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle (10:57.06). She also placed third in the 500 Yard Freestyle for an additional three points (5:14.30).
Alicja Pinkowicz earned a second-place finish in the 200 Yard Butterfly, recording a time of 2:11.21 and collecting four points. She also contributed to the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team's second-place finish (1:38.73).
Nadia Jastrzabek placed third in the 100 Yard Freestyle (52.37), earning three points. She was also a key member of the second-place 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team.
Micah Sholl was second place in the 100 breaststroke (55.67) and earned four points.
Martino Guadagnoli placed second in the 200 butterfly (1:50.22) and earned four points.
Maciej Konarski placed third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:07.80 and earned three points.
